Viking brooch necklace with spherical crystal pendant.

Here you can buy an authentic Viking brooch chain, completed with a beautiful spherical rock crystal pendant after a find from Gotland.

The Viking brooch chain is made using the so-called foxtail technique. Such foxtail chains with endings in the shape of animal heads are quite common in archaeological finds from the Viking Age.

The two expressive wolf heads on this Viking brooch chain were modelled on a Thor's hammer from Iceland and "bite" into two small S-hooks, which are used to attach them to the brooches.

The foxtail brooch chain has a total length of 30 cm and a thickness of 5 mm.

The very aesthetically set spherical rock crystal pendant was modelled on Viking Age finds from the Swedish island of Gotland and comes with a sphere made of genuine rock crystal.

The pendant measures 4.3 x 2.5 cm (including the ring).
The rock crystal sphere itself measures 22 mm, the bronze ring 15 mm in diameter.

The brooches are not included.
In addition we recommend the tortoise brooch 07 Ov 3 Oval or 07 Ov 4 Aker.

You can buy the brooch chain in high-quality bronze or genuine silver-plated.
Alternatively, also available in 925 sterling silver (please note the delivery time).

The links of foxtail chains consist of many eyelets that are interlocked and bent together. Due to the way they are made, foxtail chains are as stable as they are flexible. However, they were not only used by the Vikings. Such chains were already worn in the Celtic Latène period and were also in use in the subsequent Roman imperial period, where they were particularly common as necklaces for women.
