Dimensions of the small Viking disc brooch: 2.6 x 0.8 cm.
These
dimensions correspond exactly to the historical original.
You can buy this replica of a disc brooch in the
Borre style in bronze and in real silver-plated alloy...
On the back, the Viking jewellery has a
solid needle of about 1 mm thickness, which is used to fasten the brooch to the garment, preferably to close the shirt neckline.
The needle is
slightly bent - this makes the brooch particularly easy to open.
The Viking brooch has a small
eyelet on the back through which a leather strap can be pulled, so that the brooch can also be worn as a pendant.
