Viking pendant in the shape of the Midgard serpent.

This expressive amulet depicting the Midgard Serpent was inspired by motifs from the later Viking Age in the so-called Urnes style.

The Viking Age pendant is made of high-quality bronze and is also available in genuine silver plated.

Dimensions: 3.5 x 2.5 cm
A black leather cord in 1 m length is included.

The Midgard Serpent, as the Vikings and Germanic tribes believed, was a mighty sea serpent that straddled the Earth's disk - which meant the end of the world. According to legend, the Midgard Serpent was begotten by the Norse god Loki. In the doomsday epic of Ragnarok, the god Thor crushes the Midgard Serpent with his hammer before he himself sinks to his death from its poison.
