Replica of a small Celtic Triskele disc brooch.
This disc brooch with a Celtic spiral motif and the image of a so-called Triskele was inspired by an early medieval model from Ireland.
On the back, the Celtic Triskele disc brooch is provided with a solid needle, which is used to fasten the brooch to the garment, preferably to close the shirt neckline.
The needle is slightly bent - this makes the Celtic brooch particularly easy to open.
On the back is a small eyelet through which a leather strap can be pulled so that the brooch can also be worn as a pendant.
You can buy this brooch in high-quality bronze or genuine silver-plated.
Alternatively, also available in 925 sterling silver (please note the delivery time). Alloy...
Diameter of the Triskele disc brooch: Ø 2.5 cm.
The Triskele is also known as the trifold and was a frequently used motif in Celtic culture, appearing in many depictions from the 6th century onwards, especially in medieval Ireland.
The Triskele is based on the idea of the Trinity: While in pagan belief the trinity stands for soul, body and spirit, or for the past, present and future, in the Christian context the symbolism of Father, Son and Holy Spirit is in the foreground.
