Alemannic belt from the early Middle Ages.
This Alemannic belt with buckle, counter-buckle and strap end is based on a find from Balingen in southern Germany that dates to the Merovingian period of the 5th to 6th century.
The 5 cm wide Alemannic belt is ideal for authentic garments in early medieval re-enactment.
The Merovingian belt is available in brown leather with brass-coloured or in black leather with silver-coloured buckle and fittings made of zamak and equipped with the counter fitting typical of this period.
The reverse-beaten fastening technique is typical of the early medieval belts of the Franks and Alemanni during the Merovingian period of the early Middle Ages.
The Alemannic belt is 5 cm wide and is available in four circumferences.
Belt S: circumference 85 - 102,5 cm
Belt M: Circumference 95 - 112,5 cm
Belt L: Circumference 105 - 122,5 cm
Belt XL: Circumference 115 - 132,5 cm
In contrast to the historical models, this Early Medieval belt is equipped with a buckle with a spike and not with a spike plate, as it is usually found in finds from the Merovingian period.
