Shaped into an elegant spiral, these earrings are inspired by historical models as they were common since the Bronze Age.

These expressive Celtic earrings with the elegantly curled spiral are a really beautiful accessory for historical garb and also looks great as decorative ear jewellery in everyday life.

The ear jewellery measures 4.5 x 2 cm including the ear hook. Supplied in a pair.

The spiral earring is made of bronze and is also available in real silver-plated.


The spiral is by far one of the oldest patterns in human history. Even to the early Celts of the Bronze Age, the spiral was regarded as a sign of the sun and was therefore a symbol of growth and prosperity because the sun determined the lives of the people of that time.

A right-handed spiral here represented the waning winter sun, while the left-handed spiral represented the sun of the summer half-year. The double spiral, however, symbolized the equinox, the beginning of spring and autumn.
