Medieval belt "Erik" with strap end fitting.
Medieval belt with replica buckle and strap end fitting modelled on a belt that once belonged to the Danish King Erik of Pomerania and dated to around 1450 AD.
The buckle and the end of the belt were once made of gilded silver. The buckle bears the crown coat of arms of King Erik and the inscription: "Help ghot un maria nu altit" (God and Mary be our help at all times).
The "Erik" medieval belt is made of a strong cowhide of 3 to 3.5 mm thickness and is characterized by a natural and beautiful surface. Simply ideal for garb in larp and medieval reenactment.
Narrow decorative lines are embossed into the leather of the 3 cm wide belt on both sides, giving the medieval belt an additional elegant look.
The length of the medieval belt is suitable for knotted wear. Two sizes are available:
Belt S: 165 cm circumference 92 - 107 cm
Belt L: 180 cm circumference 105 - 120 cm
The medieval belt "Erik" is available in black or brown cowhide, with buckles made of zinc alloy in silver or brass colour.
King Erik of Pomerania lived from 1382 to 1459 and was for a time king of Norway, Denmark and Sweden. King Erik was the first king of the Nordic Kalmar Union, succeeding his adoptive mother Margaret I of Denmark and also Duke Erich I of Pomerania.
