Viking-style beard bead featuring dragon heads.

This striking beard bead / hair bead was inspired by historical examples from the Viking Age and is shaped like two dragon heads.

The two dragon heads are modelled on the Viking-era hairpin from Haithabu, which is currently on display in the ongoing exhibition at the Viking Museum in Schleswig, Germany.

Dimensions: 3 x 1.1 cm. Hole diameter 8 mm.

The beard bead is available in high-quality bronze and genuine silver-plated or 925 sterling silver.


To thread the beard bead, it is advisable to first lightly dampen the tip of the hair with a little hair gel or water, so that it can be guided more easily through the hole in the bead.
Before threading the beard bead, you can also use a small hair tie if your hair is particularly straight. This makes it easier to position the curl bead and also ensures it stays securely in place. A true Viking would, of course, wrap a piece of yarn around the beard bead in true Viking style…
