Viking style hair bead with runic inscription.

This striking rune hair bead is inspired by historical models from the Viking Age and shows a band with the Germanic runic alphabet.

Runes were used as characters of the Germanic language and culture, especially during the Viking Age in Scandinavia, but also in other parts of the Germanic language area, such as Germany or the British Isles from the Roman Iron Age to the Middle Ages.

A distinction is made between a younger and an older Futhark, although combinations of signs differing from these were also in circulation. Our beard bead shows the older, Germanic Futhark.

Rune hair bead dimensions: 2 x 0.7 cm. Hole diameter 5 mm.

The rune hair bead is available in high-quality bronze and in real silver plated.


To thread the rune hair bead, it is advisable to slightly sharpen the strand of hair with a little hair gel or water beforehand, so that it can be guided through the hole of the bead more easily.
Before threading the rune hair bead, you can also use a small beard elastic / plait elastic if your hair is particularly straight. This makes it easier to place the curling bead and at the same time ensures a secure fit.
