Forged serpent amulet of the Viking Age.

This pendant in the shape of a serpent or snake was forged by hand and is inspired by Viking snake pendants, such as those found in the Viking city of Birka.

The elegantly looped serpent amulet is equipped with a forged eyelet. You can wear it as a pendant around your neck with a leather strap or a chain.

The dimensions are 5.5 x 3.5 cm.

The Viking serpent pendant comes with a leather cord.

Viking mythology includes the serpent Níðhöggr, which means "the one who strikes with hatred". This serpent lived at the foot of the world ash tree Yggdrasil and gnawed at its roots. However, Níðhöggr also gnawed on the corpses of manslayers, oath breakers and adulterers, which were considered the worst of all crimes by the Vikings, which is why they ended up on Náströnd (corpse beach), the realm of the dead of the goddess Hel, instead of reaching Valhalla.
