Viking dress fastener in the shape of two ravens.
This expressive dress fastener with the depiction of two ravens was made after a Viking model that served as a clasp for leg wraps.
The historical original, which was the inspiration for this dress fastener, comes from Jaroslav / Russia, and dates to the 10th century. A very similar raven was also found on Gotland.
The Viking dress fastener is pleasantly light in design. It is ideal for fastening tunics and dresses in LARP and Viking re-enactment.
The Viking dress fastener can be easily sewn onto the garment with needle and thread in the eyelets on the back.
The dress fastener is made of high-quality bronze and is also available in real silver-plated.
The dimensions are 8 x 1.8 cm.
The raven has been a recurring element in the myths of mankind since time immemorial. Thus, it was also sacred to the North Germanic tribes. The ravens Hugin and Munin were the faithful companions of the Norse god Odin. He sent them out into the world every morning to bring him new news every evening. So, Odin was the god of wisdom and also bears the epithet Hrafnáss "raven god".
