Bolster plate for knife crafting made of damascus steel.
This oval plate of 256 layered damascus steel with a recess for the tang serves as bolster to connect the knife handle to the blade.
The damascus bolster plate neatly closes the knife handle and gives it a high-quality appearance and a pleasant weight.
Due to the oval shape, which is already optimal for most knife handles, the damascus bolster can be connected to the handle with little effort and requires only little rework.
Already for the knives of the Iron Age and the Middle Ages, metal fittings were used decoratively as a handle finish between the blade and the wooden handle.
Four different bolster dimensions for different knife sizes are available.
S: 22 x 16 x 3 mm. Recess 12 x 3.5 mm. M: 27 x 18 x 3 mm. Recess 14 x 3,5 mm.
L: 32 x 20 x 3 mm. Recess 16 x 4.5 mm. XL: 38 x 22 x 3 mm. Recess 18 x 4.5 mm.
In addition, there are also four suitable end plates to be used as handle end cap available.
Ideally, you should choose the appropriate bolster of the same size for the respective end plate.
