Brass slab for knife handle crafting in 2 mm thickness.
This rectangular brass slab is ideal for use either as bolster, between layer in the handle itself or as an end cap.
No matter where used, the brass slab increases the weight of the handle and gives it a valuable look as well as a pleasant weight.
Due to the rectangular shape, the brass slab can be cut into any shape after installation in the handle and thus, unlike finished, oval knife components, it can be used much more individually.
Already the knives of the Iron Age and the Middle Ages used pieces of metal between blade and wooden handle and several metal discs one after another with intermediate layers of horn or bone were used in high medieval knife handles.
