Viking scabbard throat for a seax as or sword.

This scabbard throat for a Viking sword was made in the so-called jelling style, following Viking-period models of scabbard fittings from the 10th century.

The dimensions of the Viking scabbard throat are 6 x 2.8 x 1.5 cm.
The inner size is 5.5 x 1.2 cm.

Due to its dimensions, this scabbard throat is suitable for both a narrow sword and a broad seax.

The Viking scabbard throat is made of high-quality bronze and is also available in real silver-plated.

To attach the Viking throat to the scabbard, it is best to fix it to the side with a so-called gap-filling adhesive. In addition, there are small openings in the motif, so that supplementary securing with thin pins or nails is also possible.
