Miniature knife made of damascus steel with 176 layers.
This high quality miniature knife is masterfully made of real damascus steel and has a beautifully polished wooden handle made from fine walnut wood.
The blade for this magnificent miniature knife is forged from a single piece of damascus steel and sharply ground.
The miniature knife has a leather sheath with a replica of a Viking Age bronze fitting that holds the elegantly shaped belt loop.
Dimensions: Total length 11 cm, blade length 6 cm, blade width 2.8 cm.
Special attention should be paid to the amazing knife blade made of genuine damask steel with 176 layers and a hardness of 56 - 58 HCR Rockwell.
Damascus steel knives are characterized by both hardness and elasticity and a knife blade made of genuine damascus steel is therefore both cut and break-resistant.
The blade of this miniature knife is forged from two different steels of wild damascus steel. When both types of steel are forged together to form a knife, a particularly beautiful and characterful flamed Damascus cut is created.
On the one hand, carbon steel AISI 1095 is used, a classic among knife steels. As an unalloyed and rust-resistant tool steel, it is very tough and can be sharpened well, while having a solid service life.
On the other hand, AISI 4340 is used, a nickel-containing steel with good properties, which when used in damask steel produces beautiful bright areas and noble contrasts.
