Knife from the Iron Age with forged pricker.
A forged pricker completes this knife from the Celtic Iron Age.
The Celtic knife is forged by hand from a single piece of carbon steel and simply captivates with its beautiful, matte black surface in a rustic forged look. The elegantly twisted pricker is the forerunner of today's fork, which was not common with the Celts.
The ring knife was common in the Celtic Iron Age from the 6th - 4th century BC and often appears in finds from the Latene Period.
The handle of these Celtic knives was probably covered with leather for better handling - as in our reproduction.
The Celtic knife comes with a brown leather sheath and well sharpened.
The hardness of the knife is 54 to 56 HCR Rockwell.
