Hand-forged medieval hinges with curved ends.

Here you can buy two medieval hinges that are forged by hand and have beautifully designed and artistically shaped ends.

Already in Roman times, boxes and chests were fitted with forged iron hinges. Viking sea chests and the caskets of medieval households were also fitted with such hinges to secure belongings.

And of course, heavy oak chests with such strong hinges were also found in medieval churches to secure the church treasure - crucifix, candlesticks, communion chalices.

These hand-forged medieval hinges are very solidly crafted and withstand even heavy use.
The single hinge measures 21 x 2-6 cm and is 3 mm thick.

Each medieval hinge has two 5 mm diameter holes on both sides for fixing.
8 stylish nails are included for fixing.
