Fire-basket arrowhead for a medieval fire arrow.
Here you can buy a fire-basket arrowhead, made according to historical models from the High Middle Ages and Late Middle Ages.
The medieval fire arrowhead is attached to the arrow shaft with the socket, which was the most common method of attaching the arrowhead in the Middle Ages.
The specially shaped basket of this fire-basket arrowhead was used to hold burning strips of pitch, which meant that the fire arrow could be used to quickly set fire to the thatched roofs that were often common in the Middle Ages.
The medieval fire-basket arrowhead is hand-forged and has a beautiful matt black surface.
Dimensions of the fire-basket arrowhead:
Length 11 cm, width 2 cm, hole diameter 7 mm.
