Annular brooch after the Eva at the cathedral of Reims.
This beautiful medieval brooch is a so-called four-pass annular brooch. This type of brooch was typical of the 13th century Middle Ages.
The model for this medieval brooch replica is the depiction of the famous figure of
Eve in the Reims Cathedral. The wonderfully preserved figure shows such an annular brooch very clearly.
An almost identical medieval brooch is also known from
Oxfordshire / England.

The annular brooch was used in the Middle Ages to
close the neckline of the shirt or underdress and was used by both men and women.
