Detailed replica of a medieval annular brooch.
This beautiful replica of a round annular brooch with lettering was made after an English find from the High Middle Ages around 1350 - 1450 and was probably made in France.
The intercessor's brooch is
engraved on both sides with the following inscription on the back: "ihesus nazaren[us] rex iudeoru[m]" (Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews) and on the front: "iasper: melchior: balthazar" (Kaspar, Melchior, Baltasar).
The original of this medieval brooch is now in the
Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

This medieval jewellery is called annular brooch and was worn in the
High and Late Middle Ages from the 13th to the 15th century in large parts of Europe by men and women alike to close the neckline of medieval clothing.
The medieval annular brooch is made of
bronze and is also available in real
silver-plated.
