Iron brooch with skilfully intertwined ends.
Here you can buy an artistically forged medieval horseshoe brooch made of iron, inspired by historical models from the Middle Ages.
The iron brooch is forged from a twisted iron bar and is characterised by its artfully and elegantly intertwined ends, which make this brooch a real piece of jewellery.
Dimensions of the hand-forged brooch: 9 x 7 cm.
The horseshoe brooch is ideal for fastening a cape or woollen cloak. Simply ideal for historical garb in Larp or medieval and Viking re-enactment.
The horseshoe brooch is a forged brooch in the shape of a ring and was particularly widespread in the Viking Age between 790 and 1060. It was used to fasten garments and cloaks. Iron brooches were also widespread in Celtic and Roman times.
The pin of the horseshoe brooch is inserted through the fabric of the cloak on the right shoulder and the brooch is locked in place with the round part so that it can no longer detach from the garment.
