Alemannic belt with strap end and 3 fittings.
This Merovingian belt, 2 cm wide, has an early medieval buckle, strap end and 3 belt fittings.
The buckle, strap end and fittings belonged to a Merovingian buckle set found in the Alemannic noble grave 9 of Niederstotzingen. They were part of an early medieval bridle made of silver-gilt bronze from the late 6th century AD.
The Merovingian period belt is available in brown or black leather with brass or silver-coloured buckle and fittings made of zinc alloy.
Two sizes are available:
Belt S: length 165 cm circumference 92 - 107 cm
Belt L: length 180 cm circumference 105 - 120 cm
With its generous length, the Merovingian belt suits perfectly for wrapped wearing. The circumference can be easily reduced or enlarged with a pair of piercing pliers and thus individually adjusted.
