A total of four different examples of this small cult figure have been found, all of which are around 6 cm high and date to the 9th/10th century, and show a four-faced figure.

The four faces of Svantovit probably symbolize the four cardinal directions or the four seasons that governed the lives of our ancestors.

The Svantovit amulet is made of high-quality bronze and is also available in genuine silver-plated.

The size is 5.8 x 0.8 cm.
A black leather strap in 1 m length is included with the pendant.

Svantovit was a high Slavic god and was worshipped by the tribe of the Ranen on Rügen and other Elbe and Baltic Sea Slavs as a war god, god of fertility and abundance and as an oracle. Svantevit was comparable to the god Perun worshipped by other Slavic tribes or the Viking god Odin.

On Kap Arkona on the island of Rügen, a wooden statue of Svantovit is said to have once stood in the middle of a castle, representing the god Svantevit with his four faces. The statue was located in a square, columned temple and was considered the spiritual centre of the Slavs until it was destroyed by the Danish King Waldemar in 1168.

According to tradition, the figure of Svantovit carried a sword in one hand and a drinking horn in the other, and anyone who claimed the oracle of Svantevit had to make a precious gift to the temple.

The drinking horn in Svantovit's right hand was made of metal and was refilled with wine once a year by a priest, whose condition served to divine the coming harvest.
