Earrings in the shape of the Ukrainian falcon.
By buying these hawk earrings in the shape of the Ukrainian trident, you can do something for the need in Ukraine!
These beautiful earrings in the shape of a falcon are a successful representation of the
silhouette of the Ukrainian trident, the so-called Tryzub.
100% of the net profit from the sale of these falcon earrings
will be donated to the Ukraine emergency aid of the organisation
„Deutschland hilft" - so we want to make a small contribution in this humanitarian catastrophe.
The falcon earrings are designed in the formal language of the
Art Deco style of the 1930s, in commemoration of the Holodomar, that terrible time that already brought terrible suffering, loss and displacement to Ukraine.
On the back the earrings show the Ukrainian tryzub and on the wings there is a
Cyrillic inscription with the Ukrainian official call "Slava Ukrajini! Herojam Slava!" - "Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!"
The earrings are made of high-quality
bronze and are also available in genuine
silver-plated, using a particularly strong silver plating of 100 grams of silver per kilo.
In addition to the earrings, you can also buy a falcon amulet in the same shape and size, as well as a large hawk pendant, or a complete set with pendant and earrings. We will
also donate the entire net profit of these jewellery items to Ukraine Emergency Aid.
The falcon earrings
measure 3.5 x 2 cm (5 cm with hook).
The Tryzup became the so-called small
national emblem in 1996 with the constitution of Ukraine and is based on a design by the artist V. Krycevskyj from 1918.
However, the historical roots of the Tryzub go back a long way. The earliest evidence of the Tryzub dates back to the
Rus period around 1000 AD and was found on Rurikid rulers' emblems and coins showing a stylised trident.
The meaning of the Tryzup has not been fully clarified to this day, but
many legends are surrounding the trident of Ukraine. For example, it is assumed that the Ukrainian trident is of Tatar origin and represents a stylized falcon. In modern reading, the word WOLJA / ВОЛЯ, which stands for freedom in Ukrainian, is also attributed to the Trysub.
