Large pentagram pendant with Celtic knot motif.

This intertwined Celtic pentagram symbolises the endless interweaving of life with the circle of infinity.

The pentagram was regarded by many peoples as a sacred symbol that had been in use since ancient times in many areas such as Egypt, India, Persia and Greece and was significant for their religious and spiritual life.

Depending on how it is worn, this five-pointed star can be worn with the point facing upwards or downwards.
A black leather strap 1 metre long is included.

You can buy this pendant in high-quality bronze or real silver-plated.
Alternatively, also available in 925 sterling silver (Please note the delivery time).

From the Greek, pentagram means "with five lines". The five-pointed star was considered a mystical symbol by many ancient cultures, as two of its points point to the earth, two to the sides and one to the sky.

In this way, the pentagram unites the four elements of earth, air, fire and water with the spirit that transcends them. The five-pointed star thus symbolises balance and wholeness. For Freemasons, the points symbolise diligence, prudence, justice, moderation and strength.

The pentagram is also a symbol of mathematics and astronomy and was used in the Middle Ages as a defence against demons and witches.
The inverted pentagram is called the Druid's foot and is often regarded as a sign of the devil.

The Celtic Druids also regarded the pentagram as a divine symbol in which they saw the sacred nature of the "fivefold" reflected in many things in life. The Celts also saw the pentagram as a sign of the goddess of the underworld, whom they called Morgan.
