Forged knife of the Germanic Iron Age.
This hand forged knife from the Germanic Iron Age is equipped with an artfully twisted handle and is often called a Viking knife.
The forged knife is made by hand from a single piece of carbon steel and stands out for the beautiful contrast between the matt black handle and the shiny polished blade.
The knife is based on original finds from the Germanic Iron Age and is an ideal addition to the historical equipment in Viking and medieval re-enactment.
Often these knives forged from one piece are also called Viking knives. Strictly speaking, however, this is historically not quite correct, as in the find material of the Viking Age such knives do not appear any more, but date about 1000 years earlier. But this does not at all reduce the practical value of this beautiful knife.
The Iron Age knife is sharply sharpened and comes with a high-quality leather sheath on which, as a special eye-catcher, there is a Viking Age fitting made of high-quality bronze, which holds the leather strap of the belt loop.
The hardness of the knife is 54 to 56 HCR Rockwell.
