Steel slab for knife handel making in small size.
This rectangular carbon steel slab is ideal for use either as bolster, betweenlayer in the handle iteselves or as an end cap.
No matter where used, the steel slab increases the weight of the handle and gives it a valuable look as well as a pleasant weight.
Due to the rectangular shape, the steel slab can be cut into any shape after installation in the handle and thus, unlike finished, oval knife components, it can be used much more individually.
Already the knives of the Iron Age and the Middle Ages used pieces of metal between blade and wooden handle and several metal discs one after another with intermediate layers of horn or bone were used in high medieval knife handles.
