Slender bangle from the Viking Age.
This elegant bronze bangle was modelled on a Viking arm ring find from Hälsingland (Sweden).
The Viking bangle is made of two wires of different strengths twisted together and forged out at the end. Link to the original model...
Unlike the original, however, the bangle is not connected at the ends by a spiral knot, but left open so that it can be individually adjusted to different sizes.
The Viking bangle is made of high-quality bronze and is also available in real silver-plated.
The bangle fits wrists from about 19 to 22 cm in circumference, making it suitable for both men and women.
The bangle is flexible and can be bent very well to fit the individual wrist circumference.
In the Viking Age, women and men wore bangles and all kinds of jewellery. Alongside brooches and pendants, bangles were widespread in a wide variety of shapes and sizes because jewellery in any form was an important status symbol in the Viking Age, making the rank and status of the respective person clear at first glance.
