Twisted Torque in the style of the Teutons and Celts.
Here you can buy a hand forged iron torque that was forged from an elegantly twisted iron bar and is modelled on historical neck rings from the time of the Celts and Teutons.
The forged iron torque is suitable for a neck circumference of up to 44 cm.
The inner diameter is approx. 16 cm. This makes this neck ring suitable for both women and men.
The torque has a wire thickness of 0.5 cm and is comfortable to wear at approx. 90 grams, so that the choker is hardly noticeable after a short time.
The neck ring offers good flexibility, can be bent open and closed without any problems and is therefore easy to put on.
At the ends, the forged choker is provided with a hook and eye, which ensures a comfortable closure.
The Torque is emblematic of the jewellery of the Celtic warrior. But what is less well known: In ancient times, almost all Central European peoples wore the choker as jewellery. Until the Migration Period, the torque was worn by both men and women among the Germanic peoples.
Only in the course of late antiquity did the choker become purely men's jewellery and was widespread in northern Europe even into the Viking Age.
