Small historical thread spool made of wood.

Reproduction of a historical thread spool turned from acacia wood.

The wooden thread spool measures 4 x 3 cm and has a hole of 0.8 cm in diameter.

The thread spool is carefully polished, which shows the beautiful dark brown grain of the acacia wood very well.

There are a number of finds of historical thread spools of wood from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, but they usually had an elongated design, whereas small, compact thread spools were more common since the Baroque period.
