Link to thehistorical original...

The Viking drinking horn tip has two holes on the side for attaching it to the drinking horn.

The dimensions of the drinking horn tip are as follows:
Total length 10 cm, width 2.5 cm, shaft length 4 cm. Inner diameter of the shaft at the base 2 cm.

The drinking horn tip with a bird’s head is made from high-quality hard pewter.

Among the Vikings and Anglo-Saxons, the ends of drinking horns were often fitted with bronze or silver tips, which were mostly shaped like mythical creatures such as dragons or bird heads and could, in some cases, reach considerable lengths. In addition to the mounted drinking horn ends, the rims of Viking-era drinking horns were usually also fitted with precious metal mountings all the way round.
