Large wineskin - so-called bota leather bottle.

Bota wineskin, a traditional leather drinking bag bottle that is still used in everyday life in Spain today and is in the tradition of medieval shepherd's bottles.

The small opening of the drinking tube allows a thin stream to be poured directly from the bota into the mouth without having to touch the opening of the leather bottle. This makes this leather bottle ideal for socialising in medieval circles or when out and about in the Larp.

The bota wineskin in the curved kidney shape measures 34 x 21 cm and has a capacity of 2 litres.

The bota wineskin is made from rustic suede and has a hygienic plastic inlay, carrying strap and screw-on cap. The cap can be unscrewed for filling to create a larger opening.

It is advisable not to fill the bota leather bottle with food that is prone to spoilage, such as milk.



The traditionally made Spanish leather bottle is not called a shepherd's bottle for nothing, as shepherds, farmers and farm labourers took the bota with them to work in the fields every day.
