Large plaid brooch with Celtic knot motif.

This openwork plaid brooch captivates with its intertwined knot motif, which gives the brooch an elegant lightness despite its size.

For centuries, the art of the Irish and Scots has been characterized by the rich use of manifold knot motifs in an infinite number of different variations, which symbolise life and its imponderables.

On the back of the plaid brooch is a sturdy needle that is capable of holding together heavy woollen fabrics, such as were common in Ireland and Scotland as garments in earlier times.

Diameter of the Celtic plaid brooch: 6,5 cm

Available in high-quality bronze or real silver-plated.
