Celtic disc brooch from Auvers-sur-Oise.
This remarkable brooch was made accoring to the model of the famous Celtic jewelry disc of Auvers-sur-Oise in Val-d'Oise.
The original disc of Auvers-sur-Oise dated to the 4th century BC of the Celtic La Tène period.
The brooch was originally made of gold-plated bronze inlaid with red coral and is now exhibited in the Cabinet des Médailles the Bibliothèque Nationale in Paris.
The filigree brooch of Auvers-sur-Oise is characterized by its delicate appearance that gives this brooch elegant lightness and transcendence.
The brooch measures 5 cm in diameter and is manufactured in high-quality cast bronze with red glass enamel inlays and also available in real silver-plated.
On the back of the Celtic brooch there is attached a stable needle, so a lighter cape can easily be closed.
