Viking Age belt fitting from Sweden.
This replica of a Viking Age belt fitting is made from a find that was discovered near the church of Grötlingbo on the Swedish island of Gotland.
The bronze fitting shows a stylized representation of a bearded Viking face.
Bronze belt fittings were very common in the Viking Age and are often found in the finds of this period. Especially among the eastern Vikings in Sweden on Gotland and in Russia, very richly studded belt sets are often found as grave goods.
The dimensions of the Viking fitting are 2.2 x 1.6 cm.
The belt fitting is available in high-quality bronze and genuine silver-plated.
Fastening: There are four pins on the back of the Viking-era belt fitting. To attach the fitting, simply pass them through the corresponding holes in the leather. It is best to use pliers to bend the tip of the pin inwards a little. If you then tap the pins flat with a hammer, the tip will sink into the leather and the fitting will be fixed stably and flat on the belt.
