The historical model for this strap end is an image in the painting "Martyrdom of St. Erasmus" by the Flemish painter Dieric Bouts the Elder.

The late medieval strap end measures 2.8 x 3.3 cm and is suitable for belts with a width of 3 cm.

The strap end is made of high-quality bronze and real silver-plated.

Fastening:
As documented by historical examples, the strap end has two pins of 8 mm length on the back. These are best bent slightly at the tip with round-nosed pliers and then simply tapped flat with a hammer.
