Small metal mount with Celtic knot motif.

This decorative metal mount with a Celtic knot motif is a beautiful decoration for leather goods, such as bags or medieval belts.

The Celtic knot mount is available in a brass or silver colour and is made from cast zamak. Ideal for garments in LARP and medieval re-enactment.

Diameter of the Celtic knot mount: 1.8 cm.

There is a 5 mm pin on the back of the decorative rivet, onto which a small, supplied cap is simply placed for fastening and fixed in place with a few light hammer blows.

Originally, the Celtic knot motifs probably go back to Egyptian fabric patterns that were brought to Britain by Coptic Christians in the 5th and 6th centuries, where they quickly spread in art design.

Due to its infinite links and interlacing, the Celtic knot is considered to symbolise the infinite cycle of nature and the cosmic thread of life, which is linked without beginning or end in the course of eternal rebirth and thus represents a spiritual connection between the soul and the earth.
