Small Viking knife from Björkö.
Here you can buy a simple, small Viking knife that was made after the discovery of a knife blade from Björkö.
Knives with short, small blades were common for the knives of the Vikings and were also frequently found in the Swedish Viking town Birka on the isle of Björkö.
So this plain Viking knife is perfect for an authentic representation of the Viking Age, but equally well suited for early medieval reenactment.
A central feature of the "Björkö" Viking knife is the knife blade left with the black tinder coating and the plain wooden handle made of ash wood, which ends at the blade with a leather and bone finish.
The knife blade is made of 1085 high carbon steel with a hardness of 55 - 58 HRC Rockwell.
The Viking knife "Björkö" has the following dimensions:
Overall length 19 cm
Blade length 8 cm
Blade width 1.8 cm
Blade back 4 mm.
The Viking knife comes with a solid cowhide sheath and with good sharpness.
