Patera - frying pan of the Roman legionaries.
The patera was a constant companion of the Roman legionnaire and was not to be missed in his marching baggage.
The Roman frying pan was foldable, which is why the patera took up very little space. Especially practical on the Roman frying pan is the hollow folding handle - so you can place the pan on the fire with a wooden handle or branch and then simply pull it out again so that the wood cannot burn. And of course you can also remove it from the fire without burning your fingers...
The Roman frying pan is made of steel and has a diameter of 18.5 cm and a height of 2 cm. The handle of the patera is 16 cm long and has an opening of 3 cm wide. Total dimensions in unfolded condition 32 x 18.5 cm.
This Roman patera is a historical prop, which is produced in small quantities and therefore does not have any food law certification. Therefore we are obliged to the following note: Prop - not certified for food contact.
