Expressive Viking hairpin with dragon head was made after the find of a robe pin from Hedeby / Haithabu.

The original of this pin was found during excavations in the harbour basin of the Viking town of Hedeby or Haithabu near Schleswig / Germany and dates from the 10th century.

The faithful reproduction and the expressive dragon head make this beautiful Viking hairpin a stylish accessory that is ideal for historical garb in medieval and Viking reenactment.

The dragon head pin is not only used to decoratively pin up hair, but can also be used as a dress pin to close a cloak.

Dimensions of the Hedeby hairpin: 13 x 2.5 x 0.5 cm.

The Viking hairpin is made of zinc alloy and is available in brass or silver color.
