Replica of a heart-shaped belt stud of the Viking-Era.

This authentic replica of a heart-shaped belt stud of the Viking Age was found in Bulgaria and dates to the 9th - 10th centuries.

Heart-shaped belt studs were typical of the splendid belt sets of the Viking Age and were worn especially by Rus, Bulgarians and Magyars and were thus conveyed along the great trade routes as far as Scandinavia. This is why such heart-shaped belt fittings are often found in Viking graves.

The heart-shaped belt stud measures 2.2 x 1.7 cm.

Made of high-quality bronze as well as real silver-plated.

Fastening: There are four pins on the back of the heart-shaped belt stud. To fasten the fitting, simply insert them through the corresponding holes in the leather. It is best to use pliers to bend the tip of the pin inwards a little. If you then tap the pins flat with a hammer, the tip will sink into the leather and the bronze belt stud will be fixed stable and flat on the belt.
