Belt fittings in this form were typical for the late Middle Ages of the 15th century and served to stiffen the belt strap.

The dimensions of the medieval belt stiffener are 2.4 x 1.8 cm.

The belt fitting is made of high-quality bronze.

Fastening: There are two bronze pins on the back of the belt stiffener. To fasten the fitting, simply pass them through corresponding holes in the leather. Use pliers to bend the tip of the pin slightly inwards. If you then tap the pins with a hammer, the tip will sink into the leather and the medieval belt stiffener will be stable and flat on the belt.
