Inexpensive Viking brooch made after a find from Finland.

Here you can buy an inexpensive Viking brooch, called a ring brooch or polyhedron brooch, which was made after a find from Finland.

The Viking polyhedron brooch is handmade in brass sand casting.

Dimensions of the Viking brooch: 6 x 5.5 cm.

Such a brooch was used to close the man's cape on the right shoulder during the Viking Age.

This special form of Viking fibula is called a polyhedron fibula after the polygonal, bevelled ends at the ends of the fibula. It was common during the Viking Age, mainly in the Baltic region between the 9th and 11th centuries.

Horseshoe brooches of this type are known from various sites, e.g. Papinsaari / Finland, Vindelgransele / Sweden, Haithabu / Germany and Lake Ladoga / Russia.
