Viking spring scissors in small version.

This small, spring scissors was forged by hand from a single piece of iron according to early medieval models from the Viking Age.

That type of scissors has survived for centuries and has been in use from the pre-Roman Iron Age to the Viking Age and the Middle Ages to modern times.

Ironing spring scissors are simply indispensable for authentic equipment in medieval and Viking re-enactment because such scissors were used in almost the same form in all eras, and are therefore equally suitable for depicting the Celts, Romans, Teutons, Vikings or the Middle Ages.

The dimensions of the Viking spring scissors are 13.5 x 2.8 cm.

In the Viking Age, it was customary to wear the spring scissors on a chain or a long band attached to the belt or on a brooch over the clothing. A small leather case for the scissors is an ideal addition.
