Viking Age iron ring brooch with torsion.
Here you can buy a twisted Viking ring brooch of iron, also called horseshoe or omega brooch, which was widely used in the Viking Age as part of the garment.
The forged Viking ring brooch has elegantly rolled ends and is made from a twisted 5 mm round bar of iron. The brooch has a beautiful matt black surface.
The slightly curved needle of 7.5 cm length is particularly suitable for grasping fabrics, so it is equally suitable for closing flap skirts, caftans or capes in LARP or Viking re-enactment. Diameter: 5.5 cm.
The ring brooch is a garment clasp that is well over a thousand years old and has practical uses. Especially in the Viking Age, but also among the Teutons and Romans, the ring brooch was very present and was used to close robes and capes.
The pin of the ring brooch is inserted through the fabric of the cloak on the right shoulder and fixed with the round part so that the brooch cannot come loose.
