Oriental belt stud of the Viking Age from Björkö.

Here you can buy a detailed replica of a Viking belt stud in oriental form that is made after a historical find from Birka / Björkö .

The Viking belt stud is of oriental design, but in the Viking Age Borre style. It was found together with several other fittings in a grave in the Viking town of Birka and dates from the 9th to 10th century.

Link to the original belt stud...

Belt studs were very common during the Viking Age and are therefore frequently found in the finds of this period.
Especially among the eastern Vikings in Sweden, Gotland and Russia, belt sets with belt fittings were often worn and often given as burial objects.

The oriental belt stud measures 1.0 x 1.8 cm and is therefore suitable for belts with a width of 2 - 2.5 cm.

The Björkö belt stud is made of high-quality bronze and is also available in real silver-plated.

Fastening: There are four pins on the back of the oriental Viking belt fitting. To fasten the stud, simply insert the pins through the corresponding holes in the leather. Use pliers to bend the tip of the pin slightly inwards. If you then tap the pins flat with a hammer, the tip will sink into the leather and the Viking belt fitting will be stable and flat on the belt.
