Replica of a Germanic finger ring from the Iron Age.

This detailed replica of a Germanic serpent finger ring of the Scandinavian Iron Age was made after the famous find from the women's grave of Himlingøje in Denmark.

The original finger ring was made of pure gold and once belonged to a wealthy Germanic woman who was buried at the age of 40 or 50 and must have belonged to the Iron Age aristocracy.

The ring dates from the 3rd century and is now in the possession of the Danish National Museum in Copenhagen.

Such finger rings with the representation of serpents or dragons were very popular with the Northern Germanic people of the Scandinavian Iron Age and are known from several sites in Norway and Denmark.

The Iron Age ring is open and has parallel windings. This allows the ring to be easily reduced or extended by a few ring sizes and with only three different sizes it is suitable for almost any finger.

Available in bronze or real silver plated.

The ring measures approx. 2.5 cm at its widest point.

Ring sizes:
S = 17,3 mm - EU 53 - 56 / US 6.5 - 8
M = 19,3 mm - EU 58 - 63 / US 8.5 - 10
L = 21,3 mm - EU 64 - 69 / US 11 - 12.5
