Temple ring replica after a historical find.

Replica of a traditional Slavic earring in twisted shape design after a historical model from the Middle Ages.

This replica was made after a historical model from Scandinavia, which dates to the 9th to 10th century and was originally made of silver gold (electrum). Link to the original temple ring...

During the Middle Ages, the temple ring was a typical part of the costume of the Slavs and was in use there until the 12th century. In the early Middle Ages, however, temple rings were also worn by Franks and Alemannic tribes during the Merovingian period, and they are found in abundance in southern German finds.

Normally, the temple ring was knotted directly into the hair and worn in pairs or several at the temple, which is where the name comes from. But temple rings could also be woven into a headband or scarf.

The temple ring measures 3 x 2.5 cm.

Made of high-quality bronze and in real silver-plated.

The temple ring is supplied as a pair.
