Adjustable finger ring with Viking motif.

This finger ring with a Viking Age Borre motif is an attractive accessory for historical garments as well as eye-catching jewellery for everyday life.

The ring is modelled on a disc brooch from the 10th century, which was found in the Viking town of Birka. A fibula of this type is in the possession of the British Museum in London.

The finger ring "Borre" is made of high-quality bronze and is also available in real silver-plated.

The ring is adjustable and can be adapted to any ring size. Diameter of 2,5 cm.

The second of the great Viking styles is called Borre style, after the grave find of Borre in Vestfold / Norway, which dates back to the 9th to 10th century. The Borre style represents the second phase of the Nordic griffin style and was especially widespread in Eastern Scandinavia.

The Borre style is particularly characterized by mirror-symmetrical motifs, such as circles and squares, which are often integrated into a woven band ornamentation, e.g. in ring chains and pretzel knots, whereby often also different mythical creatures are connected with the geometrical knotting.
