Raven Brooch for the female dress of Vendel era.

This Viking brooch depicts one of the ravens Hugin and Munin, who accompanied the Germanic god Odin / Wotan on his ways

The Raven brooches have been made from an original find of harness mounts from Gotland / Sweden and dated to about 600 AD. Thus, the bird brooches belong to the Vendel era that immediately preceded the Viking period.

The originals of the bird mounts are now in the Statens Historiska Museum in Stockholm.

In addition to this raven brooch for the right side, there is also a mirror-inverted raven brooch for the left side to choose from.

In this way, the Viking jewellery can be worn in pairs on the shoulders and used to fasten female Viking garments. However, you can also wear just a single brooch as jewellery or to fasten a scarf or shirt neckline.

The bird brooch is available in high-quality bronze or in real silver-plated. On the back of the bird brooch is fitted a solid needle.

Dimensions of the Vendel era raven brooch: 5.0 x 3.4 cm.
